PRECORP IDENTITY/BRAND REFRESH
Precorp approached Skyline about 7 months prior to the bi-annual International Machine Technologies Show (IMTS) in Chicago with the need to update their existing exhibit. They also expressed interest in updating their brand; refreshing their overall look as a company. This was to include a whole new web site, brochures, icons, colors, exhibit graphics, etc.
Our creative team was up for the challenge and came up with a solution that Precorp loved and has served them well since.
First off, while the logo itself was not expressly included as part of the brand refresh, we knew it wasn’t off limits either. We were confident that we could either come up something completely new or at least update what they had. The one element of their existing logo that still maintained some uniqueness and interest was their icon. With a few tweaks of the angles and outlining the mark we landed on an updated icon that bore resemblance to their old one but now looked a bit more modern and fresh. Next we did away with their logo’s slanted 90’s looking typography, updating it to a more modern, clean and professional typeface then combined the icon and the name with a new tagline in a more vertically stacked format.
Once the client was all-in with the new logo we took it to the nth degree with an entirely new web site, new market-segmented brochures, new business cards, numerous videos & animations (shot on-location), location & studio photography and ultimately new graphics & exhibit elements for IMTS 2014.
